Still Beamin'!

Two days after the inauguration, I'm still feeling the excitement. I have to admit that the candidate I voted for Prez had never won... until this past November, so seeing him finally take the oath was a great feeling!!

One of the cutest moments was when Obama's youngest daughter gave him a very candid "thumbs up." Aside from my hopes for Baracks actual administration, it is going to be interesting seeing the girls grow up in the White House. They seem spunky.

Although I was thrilled to see W get on the plane and out of D.C., I will say it is nice that his administration seemingly left the White House in order (unlike some of the Clinton people)..... argh... it was hard to pay that compliment, but I got it out.

Here's to a more prosperous 4 (hopefully 8) years, Salute!!!

Best Wishes for 2009!!!

Hey, y'all!!! I hope you had a fun New Years. We did what we've done the past few years---stay at home and away from all the madness on the road. Of course, I made sure we had plenty of adult drinks. You cant have NYE without champagne, can you? :)

Oh... and a quick Christmas blurb... it was nice to get back to East TN to visit family again. Everyone was much more reasonable with their gifts, and it was definitely nice to get away from all the commercialization.

I am excited we've entered 2009. I'm glad to put '08 out of the way. I did have a lot of fun though. Some highlights were traveling for work and getting to venture briefly into Mexico, going to Philly to visit Josh, going to Manchester, UK, as well as Canada. Of course, one of the biggest highlights was moving into our house. I still enjoy it every day.

I also had a ton of fun with my friends who are around Nashville. There are too many good experiences to pinpoint any on here.

I did have a bit of bad luck with my job situation, but I am confident that it will improve soon. I guess getting a new job should be my New Years resolution, eh??? Wish me luck.

I'm going to wrap this up for now. I hope you all have a healthy, happy & prosperous 2009! Yee-Haw!!!

P.S... I got to see Loretta Lynn at the Grand Ole Opry this past year too. You cant have a bad year when that happens, can you?
